I hope this message finds you in the best of health and Imaan.

As many of you know, I have dedicated over eight years to working as a special education specialist in a school setting. I’ve loved every aspect of my job, but after having children, the long hours away from them—combined with the stress of commuting—has taken a significant toll on my physical and mental well-being.

I’ve always dreamed of homeschooling my children. Living in a city where private and Islamic schooling is financially out of reach, homeschooling feels like the best way to provide them with a strong foundation in both academics and Islamic teachings. My family and I are working diligently toward making this a reality in the coming years. As a single-income household, however, the financial aspect of homeschooling poses a real challenge, and I am currently working on establishing a small business, Alhamdulillah. Though progress is slow, I’m hopeful it will develop, Insha'Allah.

Homeschooling offers us the ability to shape our children’s education to reflect our faith, values, and aspirations. It gives us the chance to nurture both their minds and souls, teaching them about the world through a lens of compassion, community, and responsibility. We can integrate Islamic teachings into every subject, fostering not only academic growth but also a love for Allah and a commitment to our deen. Here in our city, we’re fortunate to have a growing community of Muslim homeschooling families, forming a supportive and encouraging network.

To make this dream possible, we’re establishing a fund to help cover the costs of high-quality resources, learning tools, and extracurricular activities. Every contribution helps reduce the financial strain, bringing us closer to our goal of creating an enriching educational experience that meets our children’s academic and spiritual needs.
